WOVEL= Web Novel. But it seems a slightly orchestrated Web 2.0  name for what, in essence, is potentially the coming of age for Serial Novels - with a dash of interactivity and the return of those Choose Your Own Adventure type stories we all enjoyed a couple of decades ago.
