I more or less agree with you about writer's block, and while I think that it is slightly different to the concept of a muse, some of the principles do overlap. If you're struggling to write, there's very often a logical reason for it. And that could be anything. I believe that as long as we are honest with ourselves, we should be able to distinguish between occasions when we're genuinely struggling with an idea (writer's block), and when we're unable to find the idea in the first place (and then blaming a mythical creature for it!). If you’re struggling to write, there’s very often a logical reason for it. And that could be anything.
