Immersed in Time Off

The last few weeks, and those of the foreseeable future, are a difficult but hopeful time for my real life family and myself. Not only have I entered into weeks at home with my daughter during her summer school holidays, but over the next few weeks we are about to meet with and introduce to our home our new adopted son.

It’s not a great time for writing, if there ever was such an excuse. The days are filled with holiday activities, or meetings and appointments with adoption agencies, report writing, panel meetings, interviews, more appointments. Oh, and library trips, the creation of a storybook by my daughter about the upcoming adoption and, and, and…

So Juiced on Writing is taking a back seat for the meantime. I have a behind-the-scenes target of getting all the preplanning and scenes worked out for my upcoming novel, but that’s about all. Any blog entries – both on this blog and my second life blog, are somewhat haphazard, but written as and if I feel like it.

Have a happy summer holidays, all!
